EXTRA EXTRA: LITTLE GUYS

If you've read any of our blogs since Halloween of 2023, there's a chance you know what a Ben is, as from that point on (with a few exceptions,) I've been the voice of Pandemonium's Blog and also its Newsletters. In case we haven't been formally introduced, I'm me, and one of the many things I am responsible for in this funny little book and game store is communicating cool things to you at semi-regular intervals through the two aforementioned mediums. Its my job to make sure you get all the info we have about our mutual interests in a way that you find engaging, entertaining, and respectful.

I like to think that one of the ways I accomplish that goal is through the fine art of the little guy.

A few years back, Tristan and I made a new logo for the store, based off of the "Pandemonium Demon" design Tyler had had made for the shop back in the 90's (I think that's when it was from.) We decided to make this new version friendly, approachable, and a little bit of a scamp, and thus we got Ferdy with their big friendly smile, single fang, and uneven pair of horns. After we got the logo vectorized, things could have been left there, but because I have never been the sort to leave well enough alone I kept drawing.

Sometimes the drawings would turn into little adverts for the dice or for sales, and sometimes they'd turn into slides for the slideshow over the stairwell.

But sometimes they turn into comics, and that's why you're reading this post, because as it turns out I've made a lot of them for the the shop to help inform and advertise to you guys. I actually made one the other day that no one will ever see unless they subscribe to the newsletter starting RIGHT NOW, but since a comic you can only read once makes me sad, I figured I would put it here in case you were already following our newsletter, or if you'd like to read it again. There's no ego there, I just know that I reread my comics, so why wouldn't you?

Anyhow, let's set the scene. You've just pressed the button that signs you up for one or both of our newsletters (thank you,) and now a mysterious email has appeared in your inbox! You open it to discover... a comic just for you? 

Extra Extra Little Guys Indeed!

If my math is correct, this is the fifth Pandemonium comic thus far, after a PAX East Announcement, a Desert Island Book Rec, a Hallowed Ween Activity Guide, and a Holiday Gift Infomercial. I like to think it being the latest, its also the best one so far, but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Speaking of people, it turns out that there's a non-zero number of people who keep track of all of the little guys who appear in our comics. I'm honored that there are people outside of myself who are invested in the weirdo lives of these little guys, and so I took it upon myself to draw up some character sheets, so you can know the names and follow the exploits of all of the blorbos, boubas, and kikis of the EXPANDED PANDEMONIUM UNIVERSE COMICS CAST (E.P.U.C.C. for short.)

Are the sheets conclusive? No.

Are they fun to read? Boy I hope so.

Anyhow, this has all been a long-winded way to say thanks for reading, thanks for subscribing, and thanks for pressing buttons. Its a pleasure to bring you the news that's fit to print, and then some other stuff when time and taste permit.
