Card and Used Book Buying Policy

Looking to sell cards or used books? You've come to the right place!

CARDS

Please note that failure to adhere to any of our guidelines will result in a 20% deduction from your total buy order amount, with no exceptions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

What TCGs do we buy?

We currently only buy Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon singles

What do we pay?

We offer 60% for a check payment or 70% in store credit based on TCGPlayer price

Buylist Policies:

- Pandemonium Books and Games has the right to cancel or return any buy order.

- Please ensure that your cards are sorted in the exact order as indicated in your confirmation email. If your cards arrive out of order, please anticipate a penalty of up to 20% of the final value of your buylist.

- Please do not bring collections of cards packaged in any of the following:
  • Card Sleeves (sleeves are permitted for individual cards valued at $20 and above)
  • Top Loaders (hard plastic; permitted for cards valued at $100 and above)
  • 9 Pocket Pages
  • Card Albums
For those without an appointment, walk-in hours for card sales are available Thursday-Saturday 2:00PM-6:30PM. All other sales of collections will require an appointment.
For selling bulk cards, or any collection over 200 cards, an appointment or a drop-off is required. You may also drop off collections/cards at the register for appraisal as long as they are all unsleeved and follow the rest of our buylist policies, and you attach your first and last name, email, and phone number to each container of cards you are dropping off.

USED BOOKS

What do we pay?

$1 for every $10 of the original price. If your paperback (usually Mass Market size) was $10 or less, we will pay $1, $11-20 gets $2, $21-30 gets $3, and so forth.

How will I be paid?

Pay is in store credit or check; there is no difference in payout between the two.

When can I drop off my books?

Anytime! So long as there is a signed used book drop off form with the books, they will be processed without incident. Processing time is usually about a week.

How many books can I sell?

If you have more than one large bag/box of books, please email books@pandemoniumbooks.com directly to make an appointment with the books manager and further discuss.

What kind of books do we buy?

  • We do not currently buy used Hardcovers.
  • Like all of our products, they must fall under some category of Sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian, paranormal, magical, strange, cyberpunk, etc.
  • We will accept the first book of a series on its own, but do not accept incomplete series (i.e. book 2 by itself or a collection missing book 3 and 5 out of 7).

Pandemonium Books & Games reserves the right not to accept used books received from customers. In the event we decide we cannot buy some or all of the titles submitted, we at Pandemonium Books & Games will do our best to accommodate your wishes regarding your used books. We request that you select one of these options:

  • Trash, give away, donate or discard or sell by any method at Pandemonium's convenience, I just want them to be out of my hands.
  • Donate, but please do not trash!!
  • I will pick them up no later than 3 days from the day I am notified they are not being purchased. (If books are not picked up they will default to option #1.)

Can I stop by with my collection and sell it or do I need to drop-off my books?

We will provide you with a box to deposit your books in along with a drop-off form. If our book manager is present, he will generally accommodate a small collection on demand. If you would like to guarantee this, please email Andrew for an appointment at books@pandemoniumbooks.com

What if I have a premium used book that fits Pandemonium's collection?

Please email Andrew for special collections at books@pandemoniumbooks.com. We will most likely direct you to a place better set up to buy rare books.
