Accessibility

Pandemonium Books & Games wants everyone to be able to browse, shop and find out about events on our website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the internationally recognized guidelines for making websites usable by people with disabilities.

What we have done

In October 2026 our website was reviewed for accessibility and updated. The changes include:

  • Stronger color contrast for text, links and buttons
  • A main menu, slideshow and events calendar that work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
  • A pause button for the homepage slideshow, which also stays still for visitors who prefer reduced motion
  • Text descriptions for images on product pages, pages and blog posts
  • Clear page headings and labels for search fields, buttons and form fields

Our team follows a short guide when adding new products, pages and blog posts, so new content stays accessible.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site come from other providers, such as the events and booking tools and the Shopify checkout. We have adjusted what we can on our side and we report problems to these providers when we find them.
