You're almost ready: you've almost collected enough friends and allies, skills and resources, to take on the great menace from the far West. But first you must make your way across Cather's Basket, the seemingly endless prairies and plains that have fed your towns and cities and the islands beyond the sea. Generations of peace, wheat and dulcimers there have run up against a new threat: the mysterious Miller, who steals children from families, kids from schools, and adults from homes, workshops, and farms; stashes them under the earth, while crops rot in fields; and works through agents who may or may not be dead. Many adventures center complex moral dilemmas requiring negotiation and compromise. This isn't one of them. Can you find the source of the Miller's power and abolish it before he can take down all the farms in the land?

This self-contained one-night adventure welcomes new players, both teen and adult. It also links up to events of previous (and future!) Wednesday night adventures. We will have plenty of combat along with intrigue, people to save, and secrets to uncover. We will provide a few pre-generated characters for players unable to make their own. DnD 5e as well as 5.5e rules are acceptable: you get to choose which rule set covers your character.
