Happy May 4th! In a coincidence we didn’t plan, Pandemonium is running a special board game event in honor of Star Wars! This evening, we’ll have two games to demo; note that because one is longer than the other, we have two suggested start times. Show up accordingly for whichever game you want to play or learn about, but know that we’ll fill games on a first-arrive, first-play basis: 

Star Wars: Rebellion is a head-to-head team game, where one group of players controls the Galactic Empire and the other plays the Rebel Alliance. The Empire’s mission is to use its forces to subjugate planets and find the rebellion’s hidden base; the rebels are doing their best to keep the base hidden while running sting operations against the empire in an attempt to turn galactic sympathy towards their cause. It is a game of emotional highs and lows, and if you ever wanted to tell your own version of the stories of this era in Star Wars history, this is a game worth trying (especially if you have the time). Please arrive by 4:30 p.m. if you wish to play this game; We know it’s early, but we want to give you time to play it (and be able to send our staff home on time!). Also note that we’ll be capping the player count at 3. Although this game is traditionally for two players, it also works well as a three-player game in our experience.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a cooperative game set during the titular period of the Star Wars universe. Each player takes on the role of one of the Jedi leaders of the Republic’s military flying to different planets, recruiting clone soldiers, and using them to take on missions and mop up droid invasions. After you’ve completed all of the game’s missions, you will take on a final challenge against one of the named villains of the story in order to win. It’s a straightforward team game with a lot of theme, so that even if you don’t know the source material well, you can still have a good time. Arrive no later than 6:00 p.m., if you wish to play this game (as that’s when the rules explanation will commence).

We’ll be playing both games in Pandemonium’s backroom, so if you can’t find us downstairs initially, do ask (just walk straight to the back through the RPG books).

RULES FOR ATTENDING: 

• Proof of COVID vaccination is required at EVERY EVENT. Either the presentation of the physical card or a clear picture will suffice. Pandemonium does not keep any records, written or otherwise, of vaccination status.
• Advance online registration is required.
• Anyone not registered in an ongoing event will not be allowed in the event space to maintain capacity limits.
• No food will be allowed in our event space for the time being. Drinking is allowed.
