The Gallant and the Virtuous

The Gallant and the Virtuous is a collaborative storytelling game about jousting for 2-5 players. Everyone plays competitors meeting in jousting tourneys across the years. You'll play out the jousts themselves through a rock-paper-scissors mechanic, as well as a selection of scenes around the tourney, with your interactions subtly influencing your eventual fates.

When a single tourney is finished it's time for the years to pass. You'll roll on D6 tables to generate the number of years until the next tourney as well as any major events. You'll keep moving forward in time with each occasion, until one competitor unceremoniously dies in what will be the last tourney.

This is a game about what drives someone in a competition. It's about the relationships between people whose desires are in conflict. It's about struggling to find purpose in changing times. It's a game about jousting.
