Join us at Pandemonium for our 3-hour, bi-weekly session to learn and play a selection of games from our demo library! You’re especially welcome if you’ve never before played hobby board games (and are curious about where to start).

Tonight’s event will feature four games about ships in space. Sometimes, the ships are fighting each other; other times, they’re breaking down (through no fault of your own). And sometimes, you’re just trying to be better than everyone else (either with direct aggression or passive aggression). The four are listed by name below:

(Note that in some cases, we’re writing this before we learn the game, so always trust your own research over our blurbs!)

Galaxy Trucker is a game about having problems with a ship you build as you race other pilots (and pick up cargo). Therefore, it’s part puzzle, part push-your-luck (via how you construct your ship), and a whole lot of panicking.

Wormholes is a pick-and-delivery game where you compete to be the best galactic transport by building wormholes from place to place through an untouched part of the galaxy. This one is about passively making problems for others (as you are competing).

Gravwell* is part puzzle and part race: you’re trying to escape what lies beyond a black hole (allegedly, the “9th Dimension”) through judiciously slinging yourself around other objects also pulled into the new area (and collecting fuel to escape). And yes – you’re on a ship while doing this. (Our demo copy has the first 1st edition, but the second edition is in the store.)

And finally, we have Star Realms, a classic deck-building game of starship combat in outer space. You are the problem in this one – or is it your enemy?

So if you ever wanted to learn these games or just want to spend time with others who like playing games, come on out! And if you aren’t feeling the space theme, stay tuned to our Events calendar for information on the next demoed session!

If you’d rather we meet at a different time OR if there are any board games in our collection you’d like to see us feature, let us know by filling out the Google Form here!
