Let's Play an RPG: Forged In the Dark Games

Forged in the Dark games take their namesake from the game Blades in the Dark, a narrative-heavy D6 system inspired by Apocalypse World and the Powered by the Apocalypse games. Forged in the Dark titles are designed to be episodic, to minimize GM prep and cut directly to the action as if the players were part of a movie or television show.

The Forged in the Dark family of games has one of modern roleplaying's most diverse catalogues. In Blades in the Dark, players are scoundrels and criminals and get to form their own crew to pull off heists and other criminal activity of their choosing in the grimy, corrupt, and haunted city of Duskwall. In Band of Blades, players play as multiple characters to capture different perspectives of experienced and rookie soldiers running from a war they are losing. The players are being chased by an army led by the god-slaying Cinder King in a focused and engaging military fantasy narrative. In Court of Blades, players get to play as high house socialites, and in Scum and Villainy players get to play all manner of science fiction scoundrels.
