Its a classic story. Girl meets boy. They hit it off, but boy plays hard to get. Girl is like, "what the heck," does some trespassing, discovers boy is a werewolf and now has to decide if this is all downside, or if, you know...
Come on, I don't have to tell you.
Its a classic story. Go remember it or something.
Monsters aren't always horrible. Oftentimes monstrous characters are used as allegory for the othered, the unique, the confusing, or the tempting, and many see themselves or others reflected and mythologized in these misunderstood cryptids. Vampires can be boiled down to bad-boy fixer uppers, or Sea monsters as quirky fish-out-of-water types, which at that point could be any cutie with a pair of novelty fangs or gills.
Monsters are just us until they're not, and even then they're not so alien (even if they're alien) so Its no wonder people have been shipping themselves with Demons and Devils since the dawn of time. In the spirit of this, although we're at the end of February and the discount chocolates have all dried up, we decided to compile some of our favorite Monster Romance picks for readers and gamers alike, to keep the spark alight with maybe a little sizzle on the side.
