Party Games!

The summer is looking up for anyone missing their family and friends!  If you’re gathering togetherfor the 4th of July or just to celebrate being able to gatherwhy not bring along a party game?  Party games are typically short games with room for plenty of players, perfect for a lighthearted round amid snacks and drinks, enjoyable for hardcore tabletop nerds and casual partygoers alike.  Bring one of these games along and check out our vast party games collection to liven up any friendly gathering!

Don’t worry if you can’t draw, because you may be only pretending in A Fake Artist Goes to New York.  Players who are ‘real’ artists are given a word to draw as a continuous line drawing, but the secret ‘fake’ artist has no prompt.  Can you figure it out from the scribbles drawn by the other players and pass off your own guesswork as real?  Be ready to defend yourself to the artistic community and convince them that your doodles are high art!

Codenames is so popular that there are now multiple variations based on number of players, raunchiness level, media tie-ins and more.  The premise remains the same- secret agents attempt to figure out each others’ identities using codewords.  It may sound simple, but it lends itself to many replays as you hunt for secrets and hidden words, frustrated by your enemies and assisted by your allies.  Memory challenges have never been so glamorous or dangerous.

Sushi Go Party has expanded the original game to accommodate up to eight players, so the whole gang can enjoy competitive sushi making!  To serve up your maki, edamame, or other culinary delights, draft cards and find winning combos to make meals a la carte.  It can be customized to your personal level of complexity, and while the rules are straightforward enough for any children in the family to join in, there are enough tricks to keep the adults on their toes.

For something with higher stakes and a more deadly plot, consider The Resistance 3rd Edition.  As freedom fighters in a dystopian nightmare society, the players must advance their goals while being wary of traitors in their midst.  In this social deduction game, the player roles and the rules that go with them are varied, but they all form a team that could well be the salvation of their people.  But will it be their own friends and allies who are their undoing?

And with that in mind, there is the classic find-the-traitor game: Ultimate Werewolf Revised Edition.  Capable of accommodating nearly any number of players, the game sets up a humble village with a monster lurking within.  The werewolf wants to convince everyone of their innocence by day while secretly preying on them at night. The real townsfolk need to find the beast before it’s too late.  With a huge number of unique roles and scenarios to play, Ultimate Werewolf will entertain you no matter how many times you bring it out.  Look out for players taking revenge in the next session, though!

We at Pandemonium wish you a wonderful summer full of games, and a chance to reconnect to your community, whomever that may be.  Have fun!
