Heroscape has returned to Pandemonium!

On the 19th, we will host a miniature, Relaxed Tier tournament for those looking to either learn Heroscape or test their mettle against others. Mostly, this event is a celebration and an opportunity for folks in our community to connect on Heroscape and relive The Battle of All Time.

What will this look like?
We have enough time (and sets) to run roughly 4-battles at the same time; as such, we’ll cap our participants at 8 and limit the event to 3 rounds. The tournament format will vary, based on the participant count, but you should expect to play at least three matches.

Will this be for me if I’ve never played Heroscape?
Potentially! The rules for Heroscape are simple, but experience can help with the tactics of a miniatures wargame (even board-gamified, like Heroscape) and army composition/building.

To get around that, the Tournament Organizer will be putting together pre-built armies for each battle (organized by complexity/tactical flavor) and will be on-hand for advising and rule judgements.

What if I have played Heroscape and even still have some of my old armies?
You are welcome to bring them! In addition to the Relaxed Tier level, we’ll be playing the “All Time” format which allows figures from the entire publishing run of Heroscape (minus the Marvel set). Unfortunately, fan creations are not allowed, per Renegade’s rules, but if you have some 3D printed minis, run them by the Head Judge for approval. Note that Renegade has updated the point values for some perennial favorites (goodbye 50 point Marro Warriors!)

In either case, we recommend that you register on Heroscape’s Battle Network (link below) if you haven’t already – especially if you want to compete at higher tiers (or conventions).

Ultimately, this event is about finding out who in our community wants to play Heroscape – newcomers or veterans alike. We can’t wait to share this game with folks, and we look forward to welcoming you to our corner of Valhalla.

RULES FOR ATTENDING: 

• Proof of COVID vaccination is required at EVERY EVENT. Either the presentation of the physical card or a clear picture will suffice. Pandemonium does not keep any records, written or otherwise, of vaccination status.
• Advance online registration is required.
• Anyone not registered in an ongoing event will not be allowed in the event space to maintain capacity limits.
• No food will be allowed in our event space for the time being. Drinking is allowed.
