Our title this month is Frankenstein, or: The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley

Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant young scientist, discovers the secret to endowing inanimate flesh with life. Without thinking of the repercussions, he throws himself into realizing his ambition, only to recoil in terror at what he has created. Rejected by his creator and humanity, Frankenstein's monster is driven by the primal desire to know love or, if denied that, to inspire fear. This is the unabridged 1831 text of the popular revised edition by Mary Shelley

Have You Read This? is a club for anyone who wants to know the originals: those titles that sparked the genre. Maybe you've seen the movie or read a later story inspired by the original. This group will let you catch up on all those books you always meant to read. From classics to vintage, we'll rotate between Science Fiction and Fantasy. Join us and enjoy the ones that started it all.

NOTE: If you already own the novel, but wish to join the group, you will be able to exchange our copy on the day of the Moot. You do still need to purchase a ticket through our calendar.
